5-Year-Old Girl Survives After Falling From 11th Floor Of Pattaya Hotel

Her fall was cushioned by scaffolding erected in the hotel.

A five-year-old girl survived after falling from the 11th floor of a hotel in Pattaya, Thailand

China Press reported that the incident occurred at around midnight on Sunday, 12 May in a hotel located on Jomtien Beach, Pattaya. 

The girl is currently in stable condition. 

CCTV footage showed that the five-year-old had been playing by herself on the hotel's corridor before the fall

According to Thaivisa News, the girl had walked out of a hotel room by herself to play. 

She then climbed onto the railing, and held on for about 12 seconds before falling off.

Investigations revealed that the five-year-old, who is a daughter of an immigration officer, managed to leave the hotel room as it was unlocked.

Her family, who was asleep in the room at the time of the incident, was notified by hotel staff at their door. 

The girl's family was in Jomtien as the immigration officer had a seminar to attend. 

The five-year-old managed to survive the fall as the impact was cushioned by scaffolding erected in the hotel

After receiving treatment for her broken arms and legs, the girl is currently under observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Chonburi Hospital, according to Thaivisa News.

The case is being investigated by local police. Nonetheless, the girl's father has claimed that she has tendency of sleepwalking
