Kids Sneakily Drive Parents' Car To Buy A Toy With Abang Steering & Adik On The Pedals

A six-year-old and his three-year-old sibling were found driving a Toyota Vios after they crashed into a lamp post on the side of a road in Langkawi yesterday night, 9 May
According to social media posts of the incident, the six-year-old was controlling the steering wheel, while the three-year-old was stepping on the accelerator.
New Straits Times reported that their reckless driving on Jalan Bukit Tangga in Kampung Titi Chanwang at 11.15pm gained the attention of other drivers on the road, who gave chase as they assumed the driver was drunk.
However, the men had a shock when they approached the car and found the boys behind the wheel after the crash
"Where is the driver?" the men were heard asking in disbelief in a 95-second video that was widely circulated on Facebook just after midnight.
In another video, the boys, both in red shirts, can be seen sitting inside the car while telling the men that they wanted to go to a nearby shop to buy a toy.
"We are going to the shop. Mama is at home," said the older boy, while his brother replied, "We want to buy a black car."
Langkawi police chief ACP Shariman Ashari said the district's traffic police received an alert about the crash as soon as it occurred
"The crash occurred when the car travelling from Ulu Melaka towards Kampung Nyior Chabang lost control and crashed into a lamp post near Kampung Titi Chanwang," he said in a statement last night.
"The driver is a minor aged six, who was driving a passenger, his brother, aged three.
"Based on investigations, the boy from Kampung Padang Mengkuang was driving the car without his parents' knowledge before it crashed by the roadside in Jalan Bukit Tangga.
"Their father was asleep while their mother had gone into the toilet when the boys snuck out of the house and drove the car," he added.
The boys had apparently driven up to 2.5km away from their home before losing control of the vehicle
Shariman said the older boy suffered a cut to his chin while his brother escaped unscathed. The car was badly damaged in the front.
The case has been classified under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
