A 19-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher Slapped A 4-Year-Old Until She Bled From Her Ears
The assault happened on 31 October in Sungai Jerlok, Kajang.
Teachers are supposed to be kind
More so the ones who are there in the kindergarten, which literally means "garden for the children", a place free from abuse where parents send their children to be themselves and learn in a loving and caring environment.
However, one 19-year-old teacher in a kindergarten in Kajang doesn't seem to know what being kind truly means
On Tuesday, 31 October, the kindergarten teacher is said to have assaulted a four-year-old student in her class so hard that she started bleeding from her ears.
According to a report in The Star Online, the 19-year-old allegedly slapped her student on both sides of her face until she bled from her ears.
Being slapped like that by her teacher has left the poor child so traumatised that she is now refusing to go back to the kindergarten
Her father was alerted about the incident by the principal of the kindergarten soon after it took place, according to Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff.
"When the father went to the kindergarten, he found his daughter crying with bruises on her face, and blood coming out of her ears," Ahmad Dzaffir was quoted saying by The Star Online, adding that the girl was sent to Kajang Hospital for treatment where doctors confirmed she had soft tissue damage to her cheeks and ears.
The police has arrested the kindergarten teacher
She was arrested on Thursday, 2 November, for allegedly slapping the 4-year-old, and has been remanded for three days, Ahmad Dzaffir said while adding that the teacher has "no criminal record" and that "her urine came back negative for drugs."
Police are investigating the case under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for abuse and exposing a child to injury, according to a report in NST Online.
