A Teenager Spent 5 Hours In A River After His Leg Got Stuck Between Two Rocks
The 15-year-old boy went to the Kampung Susur Tenalok river for a morning swim.
On 20 March, a teenager got his leg stuck between two rocks for five hours at the Kampung Susur Tenalok river
According to Malay Mail, the 15-year-old indigenous boy was cold and writhing in pain in the river, located in Cameron Highlands, since 11am.
The rescuers were only called after the boy had been stuck in the river for approximately three hours
According to Sinar Harian, rescuers arrived at the scene at 2.51pm after receiving the call for help at 2pm.
It reportedly took two hours to successfully free the boy's leg from the rocks
According to Malay Mail, the rescuers were assisted by Tenaga National Berhad staff, police officers and several villagers.
Mohd Sani Harul, deputy director of Pahang's Fire and Rescue Department, said that the victim was immediately sent to a hospital for treatment.
