Zakariasmini flew to Malaysia with excitement to see his significant other on 4 Dec 2014 but everything turned into a nightmare the next day at the immigration counter

Amazing flight it was!! Tiring but I didn’t feel tired because I can’t wait to see her and the people that love me and to start a life there. Job plans, vacation plans, settling down plans, football plans etc..

When he arrived, a custom officer stopped him and said "Sorry sir you can't enter the country, you are blacklisted". He was shocked to learn for the first time that he is not allowed to enter Malaysia.

Zakariasmini was taken to a hall without much opportunity to inform his friends and family about his problem

When he asked an officer for help, they laughed, swore at him and confiscated his handphone, "Put ur phone there and fuck off with the other animals”.

I just replied him slowly please help me instead of laughing at me. He replied ” oh you think I’m funny now? I show u serious? Put ur phone there and fuck off with the other animals” shouted loud at me. More words he said in malay I couldn’t understand but I know its bad stuff about me.

He took my phone away and threw it in a basked full of phones, took my bag and took me to the next door where there were a bunch of people looking at me all at once.they closed the door and left me in a very dirty place. With a mixture of bad people, innocent people, kids, ladies, prostitutes etc..

Zakaria described his next few days held up in the dirty hall as a "prison". He was housed with refugees and prostitutes with no shower, no food and no proper place to sleep.

An officer, “Sit until I call you. This is my place so my rules”. The blogger, "He took me from my hoody and put me in the corridor leading to the toilets and forced me to sleep there."

When an officer entered the hall with packets of food, everyone stood up and fought for it. Those who could not get one before it ran out had to pay RM15 for a packet of 'nasi goreng'.

"You will never believe it was Malaysia and whatever they show in TV"

I couldt sleep. My mind is just thinking of the outside. When is someone coming to rescue me. Everytime someone enters the office or the phone rings I stand up with some hope. But nothing happened. Nothing changed.

No phones were allowed in the hall. A cleaner came in at night and charged the immigrants RM20 per minute for using his phone.

Zakariasmini was glad that he managed to call his friend for help, but started to lose hope when no one came for him. He voiced his disgust at the "corrupted system that was too strong to break".

However, he was touched at the kind souls in the hall who gave him food, comfort and help

Thanks to some refugees, I got a piece of chocolate bread to eat. Better than nothing at that moment. I joined them after that and stayed part of them. They offered me a place to sleep next to them. We slept one close to another as a husband with his wife.

3 days later on 7 Dec 2013, Zakariasmini heard an officer shout his name. An officer told him that his flight back home is in 30 mins, and he had to pay 1100USD to board the deportation flight.

Things went until saturday the 7th of december. It was afternoon and I was sleeping. They shout my name and I woke up shocked to hear it. The officer told me that your flight back to your country is in 30min and I have to pay 1100USD for that.

I was happy that the time has come I went back to my place sit down and found no other choice but to pay and leave that shit hole place no matter how much it costs me. I have 1600 I gave 1100.. I paid it, back to my little space and started crying again for this luck I have. I'm gonna go back to Malaysia. Malaysia the place that I always loved and considered it as home and a place that I belong. My relationship, my future life and...

The custom officers returned him his hand luggage and handphone, but his 'Guess' watch and 30kg luggage was no where to be found

At the desk they give me back my phone and my hand luggage. No sign of my “guess” watch and a 30kg bag of new, expensive and beautiful clothes that my dad bought for me, shoes and kitchen stuff mom put for me and so many valuable things to me.

Zakariasmini counted his blessing to be able to pay for the flight, as many of his new found friends who could not afford the flight tickets have stayed in the hall for months

My new friend talk to him and hug me and they are happy for me I’m leaving no matter how much I paid. Many are there because they can’t afford a ticket. They wrote me their skypes and facebooks to keep in touch. We met for a day or two but they got my back. The cried seeing me leave.

Zakariasmini tells this story on his flight back home with full of sadness and disappointment at the country he once loved and admired. "Malaysia, you hurt me so deep inside".

As a consolation, Zakariasmini still loves the Malaysians who thought of him and spent their time trying to help him at the airport.

Only the malaysians that I know are the ones that I love in that country and I thank everyone who thought of me and spend all the time at the airport trying to help me. Big thanks to you all. Love you

Some Malaysians even offered to help Zakariasmini get legal justice, of which Zakariasmini seems willing to accept
