Alibaba Employee Gets A Lifetime Supply Of Fish Heads After Saving 4 People From Drowning
"There was no time for me to think or be scared, the fastest thing I could do was save lives."
An Alibaba employee has been awarded a lifetime supply of fish heads after he saved four people from drowning in a dramatic underwater rescue
Liu Xinting, a 42-year-old product manager for the Chinese company, was driving to enjoy fish heads at a local restaurant in Quzhou, a city located in the west of Zhejiang province on Sunday, 19 November.
While he was en route, he witnessed a pickup truck colliding with a red car while trying to change lanes, causing the car to lose control and plunge into a lake.
The quick-thinking Liu promptly got out of his car and dived into the lake as the car sank. He rescued all four people including a pregnant woman.
To reward him for his bravery, Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Development Group, which operates several fish restaurants, announced on its WeChat account that it would offer him free fish heads for life
The four were visiting the area from Shanghai.
"It was a relief to save the four visitors. I heard that the driver of the red car felt guilty, but it was not her fault. I hope they can get over the trauma," he said.
