Tomei Gold and Jewellery branch manager had a rude shock when an armed security guard robbed the KL Festival City Mall outlet in Setapak yesterday.
“He pointed a gun to my face and told me not to make any noise or say anything,” said a visibly shaken Lourdusamy.
Store manager Robert Lourdasamy said the guard had ordered him and his three colleagues to "squat and keep quiet" when he pointed the gun at them.
"He said he only wanted the jewellery."
“He then told all the staff to squat as he grabbed a tray of jewellery from the counter.” Lourdusamy said he was surprised at the guard’s actions. “I thought he was joking as he was a friendly and jovial person. He would always be talking and chatting with the other staff. I never thought he would do something like that.”
