A man in Terengganu was seen strangling a chicken in a disturbing video that recently went viral
A Facebook video by Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia - Malaysia Animal Association on 8 June revealed that the incident allegedly took place in Kuala Dungun, Terengganu.

In the 13-second video, the young man was seen gripping the rooster's neck and flinging it around, while his friends watched and laughed in the background
The man then stabbed the rooster multiple times with what appeared to be a knife.
After the video surfaced, netizens were left in utter disgust and have since called for authorities to take action on the man
According to Harian Metro, State Veterinary Department director Dr Mohd Termizi Ghazali revealed that authorities are working to collect information on the incident.
"We view this matter seriously which clearly shows an act of animal abuse even though it was intended as a joke," he said, adding that there are certain guidelines for slaughtering animals that this video had not followed.
He urged the public to come forward if they have any information on the incident
Any information of the perpetrator such as the name, address, and telephone number can be channeled to [email protected].
If found guilty, the perpetrator can be fined with a maximum of RM100,000, three years in jail, or both under the Animal Welfare Act 2015.
