Malaysians in the B40 and M40 income groups will be receiving the second payout of the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0 (BPN 2.0) cash aid beginning next Thursday, 21 January

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced that the BPN 2.0 payments for eligible recipients will be credited directly into their bank accounts starting 21 January and 25 January, respectively.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said that this time around, payments totalling RM2.3 billion will be given out to 11.06 million recipients, with 460,000 of them being new approvals.

If you received the first payout, this time you will receive cash assistance worth RM100 to RM300 depending on your category

As a recap, BPN 2.0 is part of the RM10 billion PRIHATIN Supplementary Initiative Package (Kita Prihatin) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 23 September last year.

The payments were planned to be distributed in two instalments - the first one in October 2020 and the second in January 2021.

Therefore, this time around, if you are an existing recipient, you will be receiving the remaining amount of the total cash promised.

Here is how much you will receive for the second BPN 2.0 payout next week:
- B40 families with an income of RM4,000 and below: RM300
- M40 families with an income between RM4,001 and RM8,000: RM200
- B40 individuals with an income of RM2,000 and below: RM150
