#Bajet2022: Up To 15% Discount Off PTPTN Loan Repayments
Zafrul said, "As a loan, of course, it is a responsibility that must be repaid by the borrower."
Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz announced that the government will be giving discounts on National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loan repayments
During the tabling of Bajet 2022, Zafrul said, "PTPTN was established to manage educational loans provided for the convenience of students of local institutions of higher learning. As a loan, of course, it is a responsibility that must be repaid by the borrower. If not, the future of our children will be denied."
The discount is meant to facilitate the repayment process and foster a responsible attitude among Malaysians
It will be in effect starting 1 November 2021 until 30 April 2022.
Those who are repaying their loan balance in full will be eligible for a 15% discount.
Meanwhile, those who are repaying at least half of their loan balance will be granted a 12% discount.
If you repay your PTPTN loans through salary cuts or scheduled direct debit, then you will be given a 10% discount.
