Puss-Puss, a very lucky cat from England might have nearly used up all her nine lives after being shot 30 times with a pellet gun!

The three-year-old feline disappeared from her home in Essex for about a week before being found covered in blood, dragging her paw home

She was quickly rushed to a vet where X-rays revealed she had pellet injuries all over her body. 30 gun shot wounds, to be exact.

Calling it a miracle, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) said Puss-Puss will survive, but needs to remove her eye

"We were shocked to find that Puss-Puss was peppered with such an extraordinary number of pellet wounds all over her body and head. One was in her paw, making it hard for her to walk, and another in the middle of her eye - causing a detached retina. The vet said two had just missed her spinal cord and it is a miracle she survived," said RSPCA inspector Adam Jones.

Puss-Puss's owner, Doug Taw, remembered hearing gunshots before her disappearance. Nevertheless, he's relieved that she made it home.

"We heard some gunshots but didn't imagine at first it could have anything to do with Puss-Puss. Then we found her crouched under a car, frightened and injured. She ran off and we couldn't find her for a week. It is heartbreaking seeing her in such a distressed state, and I am so upset that she will now lose her eye, but I'm glad she's alive." said Taw.

We're really sad to hear this! :( Wishing Puss-Puss a speedy recovery!

Hopefully when Puss-Puss gets well, she'll have the chance to stay in a place like this:
