Unknown Caller Said There Was a Bomb In Penang High Court
A man "with a Middle Eastern accent" called the police and said there were two bombs in the Penang High Court building 11th June 2013 morning.

Police received an anonymous call at the state police headquarters at about 10am yesterday.
thestar.com.my"A man with (a) middle-Eastern voice informed that there were two bombs at the scene," said Penang Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Mazlan Kesah who was on the scene.

After more than 90 minutes of checking and finding no bombs in the court complex, police declared the building safe at about 11.50am.
The proceedings in the courts went on as usual at around noon.
thestar.com.myPenang CID chief SAC Mazlan Kesah said police conducted a search after ordering the 200 staff and members of the public out of the building but found no bomb.

When contacted, Mazlan said that police arrived at the scene about 15 minutes after the call was received.

"We believe that this time, it happened because there was a public property auction.
"The threat was meant to disturb the proceedings," he said.
