#Budget2020: Minimum Wage Increases To RM1,200 In Major Cities

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng announced that the minimum wage in major cities will be increased to RM1,200

Lim Guan Eng and the government are committed to increasing quality of life, especially for the lower income group.
"In January 2019, the government increased the minimum wage to RM1,100.
"As the cost of living increases in major cities nationwide, the government proposes to increase the minimum wage to RM1,200," said the Finance Minister.
Guan Eng stressed that the implementation would only affect main cities and it will come into effect in 2020.
