This Man Was Upset When He Found RM5,800 Under His Hotel Pillow
Lu Gang from Chongqing isn't pleased with the free stacks.
Most hotel guests would be delighted to discover free goodies when they check into their rooms. But not this man from Chongqing, China.
Of course, not forgetting this Sunway Lagoon worker who stumbled upon a bag containing nearly RM10,000 and returned it to the management!
Lu Gang made a surprising discovery of 10,000 yuan (RM5,800) under his pillow when he was checking out of his hotel on 28 March
Lu Gang, who was with his family, found the stack of cash worth 10,000 yuan (RM5,800) under his hotel pillow.
Rather than being pleased, he said he was outraged because that meant nobody had made his bed properly after the previous guest had left
'The piles of cash were obviously not mine, but they were under the pillow I had slept on. It shows that the house-keepers were not doing their job carefully. They didn't change the pillow case!' said Gang.
Police were quickly called to the hotel to account for the notes. They then confiscated the cash.
A hotel manager said that the money might have been left by the last guest who stayed in the room before Lu.
The police praised Gang for his honesty. However, he still felt unhappy over the standard of care in cleaning his room.
'The room looks fine on the surface, but who could guarantee the bedding was really up to the standards of hygiene? Isn't it an everyday routine for a hotel to change bedding in a room?' Gang added.
Props to you for being so honest, Gang!
