It’s a decision that all of us hope we never have to make.

24-year-old Yang Li from Hangzhou City was 12 weeks into her pregnancy when she decided to give up her baby in a desperate bid to save her 29-year-old older brother Yang Jun from dying of cancer.

According to the Daily Mail, Jun was diagnosed with lymphoma back in September 2015 and his only chance of survival was to have a bone marrow transplant

After a series of tests, doctors found out that the pregnant Li was a perfect match for the transplant, meaning she was the only one who could save her brother from dying of cancer.

At first, Li was hoping for the possibility of helping her brother and keeping the child. But doctors said donating the bone marrow during her pregnancy would cause a massive negative effect on her child.

The doctors advised Li and her family to choose either save her brother through the transplant or keep her baby.

She has finished the procedure and is currently recuperating in the hospital. The doctors will perform the bone marrow transplant surgery as soon as her body is ready.

That was certainly a very, VERY difficult to decision to make and we're hoping for a smooth recovery for both of them!
