Heavy-duty construction work was speculated to be the cause of the concrete pieces falling apart and falling onto the marketplace

According to a Facebook post made by MPK, they have brought up the issue to the LRT management.

A representative from the LRT party reported that Emrail Sdn. Bhd (EMSB) was carrying out some "hacking" work, which allegedly caused fragments of concrete to crumble off the LRT3 track onto the marketplace below.

All construction work at the LRT3 site was ordered to cease immediately. The Pasar Meru vendors were also told to stop operating below the construction site and move to a nearby area that was safer to conduct their business.
