Debt Collector On Bike Shot Dead At Close Range In Penang
The incident occurred on the flyover connecting Jalan Jelutong to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
A 31-year-old debt collector was shot dead while he was riding his motorcycle from Jelutong to Gelugor in Penang at approximately 8.30am yesterday, 31 August
Abbas Zol Fakar took one bullet in the head and another two on the right side of his chest, the police said.
He was killed instantly during the 8.30am incident yesterday.
Penang CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Zakaria Ahmad said initial investigations showed that the victim had no criminal record nor was he a member of any gang.

According to Penang CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Zakaria Ahmad, the reason behind the assassination was still unknown
“We are still trying to determine the motive of the killing."
“We have classified the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he told reporters at the scene.
SAC Zakaria said that a Rapid Penang bus driver heard the shots as he was driving by and called the police.
