9 Facts You Should Know About The Body Of A Boy Found Buried Inside Kitchen In Kepong

1. On Friday, 29 May, skeletons of a child wrapped in cloth were discovered buried in a hole under a new layer of cement inside the kitchen on the floor of a house in Taman Usaha Jaya, Kepong.

2. According to police statements, the gruesome discovery was made by workers carrying out renovation works in the house. They complained of a foul stench coming from a newly dug hole in the floor while they were redoing the kitchen, following which they informed the owners of the house who later lodged a police report.
3. Selangor CID chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Mohd Adnan Abdullah was earlier led to believe that the body was that of a girl because the remains had long hair, The Star reported.

4. The house had been rented out until April 2015 to a married couple with three children, two girls and a boy. According to reports, the family have been renting the house since 2014.
5. The family had asked permission from the owners to do repairs in one of the bathrooms. However, when the owners came to check in April, they found that the family had vacated the place without informing them and there was a patch of new cement in the kitchen floor, Gombak OCPD Assistant Commissioner Ali Ahmad said.
6. The family's 33-year-old male member, believed to be the father of the buried boy, has been identified as Loo Chon Wen. According to neighbours, there was "something off" about the family.
7. On Saturday, 30 May, police arrested the father who allegedly buried his son in the kitchen floor of the vacated house, after tracking down the 33-year-old in Keningau, Sabah, at 6.30pm.
8. On 31 May, after picking the father up, police found the mother with her two daughters staying at a relative's house in Penampang.
9. They're being held in the police HQ of the districts' they were arrested in and may be flown back to Gombak on Monday, said Gombak OCPD Assistant Commissioner Ali Ahmad, adding that the family only had two children with them. Their son was missing. "We believe the body that we found in the kitchen of their house is their child, but we will only know for sure after a DNA test," he said.
