Lembah Pantai Member of Parliament (MP) Fahmi Fadzil has vowed to lodge a police report against Madras – a club in Bangsar

Fahmi threatened to report the club to the police and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) in a tweet dated yesterday, 12 May.

"I will report this to both PDRM and DBKL... Action must be taken," he wrote.

The MP had gone to Jalan Telawi 3 – where Madras Club is located – to inspect its noise levels

Fahmi then took a video of the club, showing the volume of its live music.

"Madras on Jalan Telawi 3, you guys are way too loud," he wrote in the tweet.

He added that Bangsar Baru residents had been complaining about the noise from the club.

Netizens have since praised Fahmi for acting on residents' complaints

"This is the MP we want! That shop should be considerate towards its surroundings," one netizen wrote.
