Father Arrested For Stealing Powdered Milk From A Store In Miri

A man was recently arrested in Miri for stealing powdered milk from a store

According to Berita Harian, the man stole several cans of powdered milk from an outlet in Miri Times Square around 2pm on Saturday, 11 September.

Miri district police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari said that the man was arrested at a home on Jalan Marigold Taman Desa around 8pm after a police report was lodged.

The man was caught in the act by a security camera

Hakemal said that closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows the suspect walking into the premises and heading straight for a corner where the powdered milk was stored.

He then left the location in a rush and entered a car.

A total of three cans of milk were stolen and they are worth RM294.

The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code.

According to Burgie Law, anyone charged under Section 380 is liable to imprisonment of up to 10 years.
