A Father Has Chopped Off The Hands Of 17-Year-Old Boy Who Raped His 7-Month-Old Baby Girl
The father is now booked under attempt to murder charges.
Back in March, we were told about a father who tricked his own daughter into sending him nude photos of herself. He then sexually abused her - we know, it's so perverse that it defies imagination!
Then there's this another father who, in an act of revenge, has chopped off both the hands of a guy who was accused of raping his baby girl back in 2014 when she was merely seven months old.
According to a report in The Indian Express, a minor rape victim’s father allegedly chopped off the hands of the 17-year-old accused and left him bleeding near a canal in northern India on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old was accused of raping the man's 7-month-old daughter in April 2014.
Hindustan Times, while citing Superintendent of Police Bikramjit Singh, reported that the victim's father and the rape accused were visiting the court in Bathinda district for the hearing in the case
After the hearing, the victim's father asked the boy to reach an out-of-court settlement, luring him away. He then offered to drop the accused home on his motorbike.
The incident happened during the ride back to the village together.
The father allegedly tied the teenager to a tree and attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon. Besides inflicting injuries on his head and other parts of his body, the man chopped off both his hands, according to Hindustan Times.
"There is nothing below the wrists now," a senior police officer told AFP.
According to The Express Tribune, police were alerted by locals, who took him to the hospital. He is said to be in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, police are hunting for the father, a brick kiln labourer who is on the run, and have registered a case of attempted murder against him, reported The Express Tribune.
Like any other country in the world, rape and sexual assaults on women are part of an everyday life in India. For example...
...somewhere in America, a woman is raped every 2 minutes, while a woman is raped every 35 minutes somewhere in Malaysia and similarly a woman is raped every 30 minutes in India.
However, in a country with a notoriously slow and sometimes corrupt legal justice system, the current news about the father chopping off the hands of his daughter's rapist is just another of the occasional reports of vigilante justice meted out to rapists.
