Father In Jelebu Stabbed To Death After Asking Son To Stop Playing With Phone
Before he was killed, the father hit the son's back using a plastic chair.
A father in Negeri Sembilan was recently stabbed to death by his own son after a heated argument
Harian Metro reported that the incident took place in a family home at Simpang Pertang, Jelebu around 9.30am today, 18 November.
District police chief DSP Maslan Udin told the Malay daily that the 59-year-old victim died at the scene after being stabbed by his 35-year-old son.
Police believe that a fight broke out after the father scolded the son for always being on his phone
According to The Star, the father was unhappy with his son's behaviour and hit the 35-year-old's back using a plastic chair.
The son then reacted by stabbing his father with a knife. During the incident, only the victim's 85-year-old mother was home while his wife was out.
The suspect then fled the scene but police caught him in town not long after.
A neighbour had reported the crime to the police and they noted that the two often argued
They explained to Berita Harian that the suspect had previously worked outside of Negeri Sembilan but returned to his hometown in March.
Police are currently investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
