Hans de Borst has lost his one and only daughter in the downing of MH17. Elsemiek de Borst was only 17 years old.
Elsemiek de Borst was with her mother, stepfather and brother on their way to a holiday in Malaysia when the aircraft crashed in eastern Ukraine
Elsemiek de Borst, 17, was killed alongside her mother, step-brother and step-father when the Boeing 777 passenger plane they were travelling on was shot out of the sky over eastern Ukraine by a surface-to-air missile last Thursday.

The letter that was originally written in Dutch started with him thanking the Kremlin president for murdering his little girl
"Thank you very much mister Putin, leaders of the separatists or the Ukraine government! For murdering my loved and only child, Elsemiek de Borst! She was 17 years old, 5th "gymnasium" student at the "Segbroek College" in Den Haag. And she was on her way to her holiday in Maleisië together with her little brother, her mom (my ex-wife) and her stepfather."
