"She showed the police team where the body was kept".
A five-month-old baby, who was reported missing on Tuesday, 3 July, was found dead inside his babysitter's refrigerator at Taman Nakhoda, Batu Caves
According to a New Straits Times report, the mother was told that someone resembling the boy's father had picked up the baby, Adam Rayqal Mohd Sufi, from the babysitter's home.
The boy's father Mohd Sufi Naeif Mohd Fauzi, 28, immediately lodged a police report for his missing son
He also uploaded a photo of the boy on social media to ask the public's help to locate his son. The post went viral with over 72,000 shares.
Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Ali Ahmad reported that they took the 33-year-old babysitter and 36-year-old housemate into custody to be further questioned yesterday.
Police then decided to search the babysitter's home after her statement proved to be inconsistent.
"She then showed the police team where the body was kept," ACP Ahmad said
The little boy was found wrapped in a napkin, placed inside a green zipper bag, and stuffed inside the freezer compartment of the fridge at 10:30pm last night.
The baby's body that was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem was found to have no injuries, according to a report by Free Malaysia Today.
