[VIDEO] Angry Man Climbing Up Oil Tanker Gets Run Over
The video of the incident that happened on Monday, 22 January, has gone viral on social media.
A video of a freak accident in Segamat, Johor involving a man and an oil tanker surfaced on social media recently
The footage, which has been making its rounds on social media in the past few days, is believed to have been recorded by a passenger of a car that was right behind the oil tanker.
The 31-second video shows two men on a motorcycle riding alongside an oil tanker. As the oil tanker slowed down, the pillion rider got off the motorcycle and dashed towards the vehicle as it momentarily came to a halt.
The man tried to climb the tanker and yank open the door, but it all went horribly wrong when he lost his balance and fell off the vehicle
The video took a shocking turn when the man clad in red shorts and a pink t-shirt failed to hang onto the vehicle and lost his balance. He fell off the truck and appeared to be run over by the vehicle’s wheels.
In a photo accompanying the video, the man seems to have sustained severe injuries to his legs.
While some have speculated that the incident was a robbery attempt, Segamat OCPD Supt Raub Selamat denied the rumours
When contacted, he offered more clarity on the incident that happened along Jalan Seremban-Segamat near the Jalan Tasek Alai junction on Monday, 22 January.
"The case stems from two men on a motorcycle who were unhappy with the oil tanker driver who honked at them," he told Sinar Harian.
He said that the pillion rider tried to chase after and open the driver's door as he got angry and dissatisfied with the man behind the wheel.
