IKEA Damansara Is Temporarily Closed After A Suspected COVID-19 Case Involving A Staff
The store will resume operations on 8 November.
An employee, working on a part-time basis, at IKEA Damansara is under observation after suspected of being infected with COVID-19
In a statement today, 7 November, IKEA said that they were informed about the staff yesterday, 6 November, adding that the staff is "currently under the care of the authorities waiting to be tested".
The part-timer was last on duty on 30 October, according to IKEA's statement.

"The health, safety, and overall well-being of our co-workers, customers, partners, and community are our top priorities. As a proactive precautionary measure, our store will be closed on 7 November to undergo sanitisation and deep cleaning, in accordance with the Ministry of Health's standards," read the statement.
"Our store will resume operations on 8 November.
IKEA stated that they will continue to do their part
According to the statement, the company will be doing this by securing all necessary preventive measures in their stores to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.
"These measures include MySejahtera App for contact tracing, social distancing markers, thermal scanners at all entry points and hand sanitising stations, among others," IKEA added.
