[JUST IN] 153 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded With 90 Linked To The KL Tabligh Cluster

The cumulative total of cases has now reached 1,183 in the country.

A total of 153 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today, 21 March

This marks the seventh consecutive day of three-digit increase in COVID-19 cases, bringing the total tally to 1,183. On 20 March, a total of 130 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the country.

27 patients made a full recovery today, bring the total number of the recovered patient to 114.

Of the 153 new cases, 90 are linked to the cluster cases from the tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling Jamek Mosque in Kuala Lumpur

The religious gathering was attended by over 14,500 Malaysians.

With the new cases recorded today, 21 March, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Malaysians from the tabligh gathering has now crossed 700.

Meanwhile, one new death was reported today

The fourth death involved case 238, a 50-year-old Malaysian citizen.

According to the Ministry of Health, this is in addition to the third death reported on Friday, 20 March.
