KL & 6 Selangor Districts To Face Scheduled Water Cuts For Maintenance On 5 June

Air Selangor advised consumers to store adequate water supply ahead of time.

Several locations in Klang Valley will experience scheduled water disruptions for about three days in June

According to a statement by Air Selangor on Monday, 13 May, maintenance and replacement works are to be carried out at its Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant.

"The implementation of these works will cause a temporary scheduled water supply disruptions in Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor regions," it said.

The water supply will be cut from 9am on 5 June and restored in stages from 3am the next day

"Full recovery of water supply is expected to be at noon on Friday, 7 June," it said in the statement.

It added that the duration of the water supply disruption and recovery at the affected areas will vary depending on the location of a resident's premises and water pressure at the distribution system.

Air Selangor added that it will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas, giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, and funeral homes

It advised consumers to store adequate water supply ahead of time and to use water prudently during the disruption.
