The photo of the car with the number plate PG1 was shared on social media with a statement that read ‘Is double line parking a privilege for PG1?’.

When contacted by Malaysiakini, Lim said he was meeting several journalists and a guest from Hong Kong at a coffeeshop at the time.

BN supporters left comments that Lim was a blatant law breaker and abusing his position.

Tze Kye Brian Choo said it was indeed wrong for Lim or his driver to park there, but questioned whether anyone could verify if the driver was in the car at the time.
