It is understood that Hafiz was detained and questioned for four hours by policemen from Bukit Aman and an officer from MCMC

Below is the tweet Hafiz claimed that he was questioned over:

The tweet, which was posted on 6 April 2018, reads:

"UMNO is arrogant with power. With this condition, I choose Anwar Ibrahim as a game changer.

"It is a shame that we never gave this figure (Anwar Ibrahim) a chance. Anwar Ibrahim is an ideology more than a person. He is the symbol of justice, fairness, equality, and diversity!"

Hafiz was released later in the evening due to his minor medical condition, but he claimed to have lost access to his Twitter account

According to a statement Hafiz released via his friend's Facebook account, he claimed that he had to hand over his phone and Twitter account password to the authorities.

However, he claimed that MCMC changed his password as well as the email address registered to the account, hence revoking access to his own Twitter account.

He added, "I have contacted Twitter about this matter but they need proof of the event. The Twitter team has not yet to respond as of now."

However, Hafiz vows that he will not back down from voicing out his own opinions

He continued, “I am just a part of the Malaysian youth. We are young and naive. However, we have our own opinion and ideas. The internet is our platform to voice out our concerns to the leaders. Taking away our voice will not silence us. It is our future that we are fighting for. Lawan tetap lawan.”
