The police have identified them as Sim Lai Huat, 58, a Singaporean, and Sooria Kala Kanaseon, 34, a Malaysian. Both were security personnel employed by the appointed security agency, Pico Guards.

Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted at about 10.10pm to an incident at the condominium at 3 Central Boulevard.
On arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from several upper levels and traced the smoke to the 65th-floor.
They encountered heavy smoke and intense heat as they made their way to the floor.
Using breaking tools, they forced entry into the service lift lobby area of the 65th-floor, and found it fully engulfed in flames.
SCDF said its firefighters put out the blaze with three water jets.
They Found Two Charred Bodies At 2am Inside The Service Lift Opening
A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said a team of officers later broke open the service lift to find two charred bodies on the same floor.

Raffles Quay Asset Management, which manages Marina Bay Suites, said the safety of the residents and staff remained top priority. It said all lifts are sent to the ground floor during a fire and residents are instructed to evacuate to a safe area on the ground floor using the stairs.
