Man Blows Up House Trying To Kill One Cockroach Because He Sprayed Too Much Insecticide
He suffered minor injuries from the blast.

A Japanese man accidentally blew up his home last Sunday after using too much bug spray in an attempt to kill a pesky cockroach
According to a report by Mainichi Shimbun, the incident occurred in the man's home in Kumamoto at 12am on 10 December.
His balcony window broke as a result, causing the man to sustain minor injuries.
According to Kumamoto Prefectural Police, the 54-year-old man had sprayed too much insecticide while trying to kill the cockroach
Investigations found burn marks near the victim's kotatsu — a Japanese heating table.
This is not the first time a case like this has occurred in Japan
The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan said it has received several reports of explosions caused by insecticide being sprayed near electrical outlets or other sources.
Many sprays, including insecticides, contain flammable properties such as alcohol. According to Slate, "If the air in a room [contains] exactly the right mixture of propellants and oxygen, an explosion might occur."
