Man Burns To Death In Car As Helpless Wife Watches In Early Morning Accident In Kulai

A devastating car crash along the North-South Expressway in Kulai killed a man early morning today, 27 December
According to a report by New Straits Times (NST), the man, a 29-year-old was in the car, a Proton Persona, with his wife and their three-year-old daughter. He was driving and his wife and child were seated in the back when the accident happened.
Passers-by managed to rescue the woman and her daughter before the car caught on fire, but was unable to help the man who was pinned to the driver's seat.
The authorities believe that the car may have collided with a trailer before bursting into flames, shortly after.
The Kulai Fire and Rescue Department was alerted about the accident around 6am and by the time they arrived at the scene, the car was entirely up in flames.
The man's wife witnessed the whole incident while waiting for help.
It took the firefighters around 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
The man's remains were sent to the Kulai mortuary for a postmortem examination.
The victim's wife is currently receiving treatment at the Kulai Hospital, while her daughter escaped unhurt
Kulai district police chief Superintendent Dzulkhairi Mokhtar said that based on eyewitness accounts, the department thinks the car may have crashed into the back of a moving trailer.
