A video showing a male passenger disturbing another commuter inside a bus recently went viral on Twitter
In the nine-second clip, the man was seen placing his hand on the armrest of an empty bus seat in front of him and caressing it.
He then moved his hand and grabbed the sides of the empty seat.
A silver ring on the man's ring finger can also be seen.
According to the tweet, the person who recorded the video was a woman travelling alone, who luckily noticed the hands and called out the behaviour.
"Women must be cautious when travelling alone after this. Don't be neglectful! There are so many different kinds of people these days," she wrote in the caption of the video.
The video sparked outrage among netizens, with some offering advice on how to stay safe on public buses
One user suggested bringing a lighter everywhere they go and to use it to light up a person's hand if they try to disturb them.
Another proposed carrying a needle and to report such incidents to the bus driver so that they could kick the passenger off.
Meanwhile, some users recalled how they've been in similar situations.
"My friend faced a similar situation, and the worst part is the man touched her armpit," wrote one user.
At the time of writing, the tweet has garnered over 3,500 retweets and 705,000 views.
