Man Identified As 'Lim Guan Eng' Killed In Car Accident

The victim died on the spot.

A 37-year-old man identified as 'Lim Guan Eng' (the namesake of Penang CM) was killed in an accident earlier today, 29 October

Mr. Lim, from Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, died on the spot

According to a report in The Rakyat Post, the incident happened around 1.40am when Perodua Myvi, the car he was driving, skidded and crashed into a tree in Jalan Selangor. The victim suffered severe head injuries.

According to Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din, the case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987

“The victim was removed from the car by firefighters as he was trapped in the driver’s seat. The body was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem."
