Man Caught Taking Upskirt Videos In Publika With Recording Device Hidden In A Backpack
The alleged incident - which happened in Publika, Solaris Dutamas - was caught on camera, with the video having gone viral after it was posted over the weekend.
A video of a man allegedly taking upskirt videos with what is believed to be a recording device hidden in a backpack - which he carried with one hand - has gone viral after it was posted on 12 September by a Facebook user
At the beginning of the video, the man in question looked like any other person as he walked among the crowd in the bazaar area of Publika, Solaris Dutamas with a red backpack in his hand
As he surveyed his surroundings while walking to and fro, the initial impression is that he might have gotten lost. As he began to shoulder his bag, something caught his eye. He immediately held the backpack in his hand again...
... And started following a woman in a patterned dark blue dress very, very closely while holding his backpack at a very awkward angle
At the end of the crowded stretch, the woman appeared to have noticed that the man had been following her at close proximity. At that, the man slung his backpack over one shoulder and took out his phone.
According to the uploader Roberto Calleja, who claimed that he had been following the man's behaviour for about 15 minutes, the man would take down his bag "whenever he sees a lady in short skirt"
Calleja also wrote that security officials in Publika were in the know and started looking for the man, but he managed to escape before he was caught.
Just last month, this guy was caught red-handed when he filmed up a girl's skirt on an elevator in Mid Valley:
While a 41-year-old father of two blamed the victims of his indecent behaviour on their "sexy clothes" after he was filmed scratching his private parts while uttering obscene words at them:
However, on 13 September, Publika's management confirmed that they have apprehended the man after he returned to the mall
