6 April 2013 - Barisan Nasional released its manifesto for the 13th General Election themed "A Promise of Hope". In hoping to raise the quality of life, Barisan Nasional's manifesto promises to reduce the cost of living while providing more cash for the rakyat of Malaysia. Muhyiddin says it was Pakatan who copied their idea
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin argued that the opposition coalition lacked experience to know that most of its proposed policies on welfare and plans to cut car prices have already been implemented.
He accused Pakatan Rakyat of incorporating existing government policies into their election pledges.
malaysiandigest.comThe Umno deputy president noted that BN was already aiming to reduce price tags on cars under the Asean Free Trade Agreement as well as other free-trade programmes.
Muhyiddin cited another example where PR had pledged to build 150,000 affordable houses. He argued that affordable housing had been a key government policy under his coalition’s rule.
“Copying us shows that BN has finally accepted the fact that Manifesto Rakyat is good, workable and fulfils the people’s wishes,” he said.
