Melaka Man Dies In Freak Accident After Crashing Into A Cow

Investigations found that the cow was still alive.

A man in Melaka died after crashing into a female cow that was crossing the road

According to Utusan Malaysia, the incident took place at Jalan Bukit Bulat around 8.15pm on Wednesday, 10 March. 

The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Abdul Bahrin Hamid who died at the scene due to severe injuries to his head.

Police believe that the man was unable to avoid the animal that was in the way

Alor Gajah district police chief Supt Arshad Abu told Kosmo!, "The victim was from the direction of Hutan Percha, headed towards Felda Solok Menggong."

"He was driving a Yamaha motorcycle. When he arrived at the scene, the victim is believed to have been unable to avoid a cow that was in his way and hit the animal."

Investigations found that the cow was still alive and there were skid marks as well as debris from the crash at the scene.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987

The motorcycle used by the victim has been taken to the Alor Gajah Traffic Police Station and authorities assured that further investigations will be carried out.
