A driver's dashcam footage has gone viral on Facebook for an incident that happened between an unknown motorcyclist and driver of a Porsche

A member of the public Facebook group, DashCam Owners Malaysia, recently shared footage from the dashboard camera of an unknown vehicle.

The one-minute video begins innocently, with a Porsche turning on their left signal to move into the middle lane of a highway. Unable to move through, a few motorcyclists pass the driver without letting them through — that is, until one motorcyclist takes his resistance a little too far.

An unidentified motorcyclist then moves close to the Porsche, lifts his right leg, and kicks the left side mirror off the car and onto the road

Within seconds, the mirror flies into the air and hits the side window of the car driving in front of the Porsche. As of now, no further information of the rider has been identified other than his orange jacket and black shoes.

Everyone in the video is left in complete shock — from the passing motorcyclists who passed by afterwards, to the driver whose dashcam footage was posted.

The person recording the video can be heard saying, "He already put his signal on," gesturing to the driver of the Porsche who tried to move into the middle lane. The Porsche then remains in the right lane for a brief moment, before the video concludes with them signalling once more and successfully crossing into the middle lane.

Upon sharpening the video, the poster of the footage came to discover that the mirror kicker was in fact a Shopee rider, though his number plate is too blurry to make out

Since the video was posted on 6 September, the post has received over 200,000 views and 2,000 comments

While comments poured in from every direction, the vast majority sided with the Porsche driver, criticising the motorcyclist for recklessly and carelessly kicking off the side mirror.

Most of the comments mentioned how the Porsche driver put their signal on and waited to cross into the middle lane without being unruly or obstructive, making the rider's actions even worse. "This would count as damaging public property, just wait until you get to the police station," said one commenter.

One person expressed their hope that the Porsche driver may have a clearer dashboard camera than the person who uploaded the video, so they may find the rider that kicked off his side mirror.

"Such bad behaviour, I hope the driver makes a police report on the motorcyclist for committing property damage," opined one responder.

However, an additional comment stated that it would be difficult to make a report without any solid facts, as the rider sped off too fast. "For a case like this, I think the [Porsche] driver would have to replace the mirror on his own dime."

Another commenter opted for the cautious route, offering some advice to other riders who may be short-tempered, or take 'inspiration' from the video.

"Be careful when dealing with people who drive luxurious cars. We don't know their status, their influence, their power, and what they can do. In this generation, money makes you a king. Don't make stupid decisions that may make our families a victim of these circumstances."

But perhaps the most fruitful comment of the bunch came from an individual who claimed to be a rider himself.

"If I came across a driver who gave an early signal, I would definitely let him cross into the lane. I don't care who is behind me. My motto is, if it makes someone else's life easier, I believe God will make my life easier, too."
