Putrajaya Won't Be Having Any Official Memorial Service For MH370 This Year

However, Dewan Rakyat Speaker will give a short speech in memory of the tragedy.

Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai has said that there won't be an official memorial service for MH370's second anniversary this year

Liow, who was attending a ground-breaking ceremony at Chong Hwa Independent High School on Monday, 29 Feb, told reporters:

"However, we will hold a ceremony in Parliament on Mar 8, during which the (Dewan Rakyat) Speaker will give a short speech in memory of the tragedy."

He also said that the decision about whether to continue with the search for MH370, in case it is not found by June, would have to be made in a tripartite meeting among Malaysia, China and Australia

"Once the 128,000sqkm search for the plane ends, we will study what is the next step to take," he said.
