OKU Man Found Dead With Hands & Legs Bound After Robbers Broke Into His House
The robbers stole cash and a television.
A man with speech disability was found dead after his home in Penang was robbed yesterday, 8 May
According to the New Straits Times, the victim and his mother were found tied up and gagged. They were later discovered in the family's home in Guar Perahu, Kubang Semang by the victim's father, who is in his 80s.
Seberang Prai Tengah police chief Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris said, "About 6.30am, the father, who was sleeping in a separate room, got up and went to his wife's room.
"He found the woman, in her 70s, with both her hands and feet bound by a cable tie, and her mouth stuffed with a piece of cloth. She had injuries on her right fingers.
"The father then went to his son's room and found the man, in his 40s, unconscious on the floor.
"He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene."
The victim's body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Bukit Mertajam Hospital for an autopsy.

Helmi said preliminary investigations revealed that two robbers armed with machetes broke into the house, restrained the two residents, and absconded with cash and a television, reported FMT.
The police have arrested a local man in his 40s following the incident. The suspect reportedly has 10 past convictions for involvement in crime and drugs.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Meanwhile, the police are looking for the second suspect.
"We urge those with information, or who witnessed the incident, to come forward to assist in the investigation," said Helmi.
