Pavithra was reportedly slapped several times in the face until her lips bled

An unnamed source told the Malay daily that Pavithra's arm also became swollen from being hit with a sickle.

They added that the YouTube personality contacted authorities and filed a police report against Sugu herself.

A spokesperson announced through the couple's Instagram account that they would be taking a break from social media

The post read, "Hi, the couple (Sugu and Pavithra) would like to take some time off and focus on their personal life and hence, they would not be proceeding with any brand engagement for few weeks now (sic)."

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness.
