Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has responded to a motorcyclist's claims that PPBM plastic fans caused him to get into an accident

Mahathir, who is also Prime Minister of Malaysia, replied to the motorcyclist's tweet asking PPBM officials to look into the matter.

The motorcyclist's original tweet has garnered over 6,500 retweets at the time this article was written.

Twitter user @CankQul claimed on 15 September that his motorcycle skidded at Bulatan Kayangan, Shah Alam due to the strewn plastic fans

Bernama has named the victim as 18-year-old university student Mohamad Azezul Mohd Omar.

Mohamad, who works part-time as a food delivery person, was making a delivery to a customer when the incident happened.

In a tweet posted later on his account, Mohamad said, "When I arrived at the location, I found many plastic fans with the red Parti Bersatu logo strewn in the middle of the road, causing my motorcycle to skid at Bulatan Kayangan."

As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist suffered injuries to his left leg

In a reply to a concerned Twitter user, Mohamad said he "injured his left leg" while making a delivery for a food delivery service.

Mohamad also told Bernama that he intends to make claims for damages to repair his motorcycle and handphone which suffered a crack during the incident.

Following their president's tweet, the official PPBM Twitter account responded to the motorcyclist earlier today, 18 September

In the tweet, the official PPBM Twitter account asked for Mohamad's telephone number and also apologised for any inconveniences caused.

Motorcyclists should also be alert of this method supposedly used by robbers:
