Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Kadir spent today morning showing that everyone is equally responsible in ensuring that a city is clean.

He surprised the Ipoh City Council (MBI) workers and helped them collect rubbish and clean up the town.

"If I inform them earlier, then they will prepare themselves. That’s why I didn’t tell them."

"This is an effort to get closer to them, and to create a spirit of teamwork. I also feel that there is a need to go down to the ground because we build this state together, as a team," Zambry said to Perak Today.

The Malay daily also said that Ipoh mayor Zamri Man also joined Zambry at the surprise cleaning event.

Meanwhile, Perak Today reported that Zambry helped the MBI staff clean up around the Buntong and Ipoh city centre.

Zambry also took the opportunity to remind people that everyone should work together to keep the city and their housing areas clean, and not just rely on the city council staff

Great job, Datuk Seri Zambry! :D
