On Saturday, 30 March, a photographer by the name of Maxim Koliberdin shared photos of the royal wedding between Muhammad V of Kelantan and former beauty queen Oksana Voevodina on his Instagram account
The royal wedding reportedly took place on 23 November last year, when Sultan Muhammad V was serving as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
However, to date, no official statement regarding the marriage of Sultan Muhammad V to Russia's Oksana has been issued by either the Istana Negara or the government.
On 6 January this year, Sultan Muhammad V abdicated the throne, after weeks of speculation on social media following his rumoured wedding in Moscow.
According to Maxim, who said he was the official photographer of the royal wedding, SvadBerry Wedding Agency won the "Event of the Year" award for the reception
"Royal wedding, Sultan Muhammad V Oksana Voevodina.
"Congratulations to the wedding agency SvadBerry with a well-deserved victory in the “Event of the Year” award with a real royal wedding, which I had the honour to shoot.
"With the scope of the wedding, it was very interesting to shoot such a beautiful and elegant project," Maxim Koliberdin wrote in his Instagram post.
In his Instagram account, the Russian photographer uploaded a set of 10 photos from the wedding reception
The photos show Sultan Muhammad V wearing a pair of blue Baju Melayu, cutting a cake with Oksana Voevodina, whose Muslim name is Rihana Oxana Gorbatenko.
