Police Officers Must Have A BMI Of Less Than 28 To Be Promoted
The police force has strengthened the promotions process to ensure fairness and provide equal opportunities to every qualified member.
Police officers are now required to have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of less than 28 to be eligible for promotion
This was one of the new conditions added to make the promotions process stricter, according to a recent Facebook post by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said this initiative is crucial for ensuring the health and skills of police officers while enhancing their ability to provide top service to the community and country.

Razarudin stated that the Promotion Policy for Senior Police Officers was improved through the implementation of e-Course and Online Competency Assessment (PeKAT).
"It aims to curb issues of favouritism and accusations as well as to ensure the selection of suitable, competent and qualified candidates," he remarked.
