PTPTN Chairman Shamsul Anuar Has Resigned
He was appointed as the chairman in 2013.
Joining the list of high-ranking officials who resigned over the past two weeks, Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah has stepped down as the chairman of National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN)
Free Malaysia Today (FMT) and Sin Chew reported that Shamsul had submitted his resignation letter on 15 May, about a week after Barisan Nasional (BN)'s defeat in GE14.
"I had stepped down on 15 May," he told FMT yesterday, 23 May.
He was appointed as the chairman in 2013.
Shamsul will be concentrating on playing his role as the MP of Lenggong
In GE14, he successfully defended his seat in a three-corner battle against PAS' Muhammad Mujahid Mohammad Fadzil and Amirul Fairuzzeen Bin Jamaluddin of PKR.
Earlier this month, Shamsul criticised the plans of Pakatan Harapan (PH) to write off PTPTN loans
"It will cause us to continue to rely on other financial measures to allow us providing funds to new students," he said as quoted by The Sun.
