Two Cars Heavily Damaged After A Runaway Tyre Slammed Into Them On Highway In Johor
The freak accident happened in Kluang, Johor.
Two cars were heavily damaged by a runaway tyre on a highway in Kluang, Johor on 7 March
A dashcam video showed a stray lorry tyre traveling rapidly towards the car, making it almost impossible for the driver to do anything else, but to ram into it.
The dashcam footage, shared by Facebook user Ah Boon, has gone viral on social media. At the time of writing, it has gotten over 1.2 million views and shared over 13,500 times.
One of the cars was a four-month-old Toyota Vios
Boon wrote on Facebook, "Four months and bye bye car already."
At the start of the video, Boon could be seen driving on the right side of a four-lane road without barrier before a stray tyre came off from a tanker truck and slammed into his car.
The impact of the collision caused him to lose control of the car after his hood popped up as well as massively damaging the front-right side of the Vios. As a result, the car ended up crashing into a small ditch at the side of the road.
The stray tyre took out another car after it landed on top of a Naza Citra, narrowly missing the driver and front passenger's seats
