Saying 'Bomb' Even In Jest At KLIA And KLIA2 Could Put You Behind Bars For 7 Years
Whatever your reasons, don't say it!
And suddenly you have this unfamiliar urge to say 'bomb', maybe in jest or maybe just to see how people around you react to the word.
Would you do it? Would you utter those four-letter word?
If you think you would, consider this:
Since last year, police have arrested a total of 15 people so far for simply saying the word 'bomb' in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KLIA2.
As under Code 92 of the Airport Emergency Plan, the word 'bomb' is categorised as a threat and a serious offence, even IF it was meant as a joke or showing dissatisfaction with airport services
And those detained for saying 'bomb' at KLIA and KLIA2 airports could be charged under Section 506 of the penal Code for inciting fear.
If convicted, an individual could be jailed a maximum seven years or fined or both.
Sepang ACP Abdul Aziz Ali has warned against it, saying that uttering ‘bomb’ arbitrarily, at the two places would cause an individual to be detained and taken to the Sepang police headquarters (IPD), resulting in one missing the flight, reported Bernama.
"They will incur losses when they miss their flight and need to buy new (flight) tickets."
