Bobby the Shih Tzu went to Segar Veterinary Hospital in Cheras for a routine grooming session, but he lost more than just his fur.

Image via imgur.comPet owner Leong Yoke Chang was in disbelief when she went to collect her pet dog from a grooming session with a vet, only to find that it had died.
Bobby was a 5 year old healthy shih tzu. Leong sent him for grooming at Segar Veterinary Hospital, 1pm, and what happen shocked her. They called her husband to come there at about 4pm.

He went there and they told him Bobby died. When they demanded to watch the CCTV, they saw what actually happened to Bobby and how he died.

A CCTV footage from the hospital clearly shows a man turning up to hold Bobby down while the groomer shears off its fur. He appears to be holding the dog tightly. When he lets go, the dog was still.

Is this professionalism when they employ untrained staff to handle your beloved pets? No sincere apology and explanation was offered, just lots of excuses to absolve their guilt.

Dog owner said that the dog was struggling up to the point of his death. They suspect that he was suffocated.

Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue (MIAR) president Puspa Rani, the hospital informed Leong of the tragedy only when she arrived to pick up Bobby. Puspa said they should have called her as soon as they found that Bobby was dead.
“They did not have the courtesy to explain to the owner how the pet died and kept giving excuses,” she said.
“The man who handled the dog in a rough manner later confessed and Leong proceeded to lodge a police report. We don’t even know if the man was a trained professional.”
Segar Veterinary Hospital later apologized via Facebook message after the video went viral on Facebook

Before MIAR highlighted this issue, the vet NEVER bothered to apologize or say anything. Now, we losing a report he's trying to be nice to Leong so that we will not pursue this case.
